What Happened:
On August 27, we - a grand total of 27 participants! - launched lifescraps in style at cosy Bar Bario, turning a regular Wednesday into a night of paper, glue, and low-pressure creativity. Instead of a structured workshop, this was an easy-going evening designed to introduce people to the vibe of the club and get a taste of what’s coming. Guests could grab a drink, dig through piles of magazines and scraps, and try their hand at a few playful prompts — no pressure, no “right” way to do it, just making for the sake of making.
It was a great chance for curious friends and first-timers to dip a toe into scrapbooking and collage without committing to a full workshop. Between the laughter, buried-under-magazines moments, and unexpected conversations, the night gave us a peek at what lifescraps can grow into as well as a ton of insight - about timing, layout, and all the little details — to help shape future events.
So, what happens when you throw 27 people into a bar with scissors, glue, and 30+ kilos of old magazines?
Answer:
✨ 7 stations of scrap chaos
✨ Dozens of postcards to the future
✨ A punk collage made in 10 minutes flat
✨ Slambooks, scavenger hunts, moodboards, mindmaps
✨ And a giant mess that somehow made perfect sense.
The lifescraps launch was one for the books — thank you to everyone who came, cut, glued, and laughed the evening away!
